Framed black and white portrait of a smiling couple, labeled as founders of Hills Market, dated 1940.

In 1939, Lee and Zilpha Hill decided to pack up their things from Tennessee and move to Fort Wayne, Indiana in hopes of starting a new and prosperous life. With a small background in produce and meat from being a delivery driver, Lee, decided to open up a small store in the township of Waynedale. This would come to be known today as the one, and only, “Hill’s Meat Market”.

76 years later, we are still proudly serving Waynedale and the greater Fort Wayne area. Our mission is to continue providing exemplary service and fresh products at a fair, competitive price for all our customers. We hope to see you in our neck of the woods soon!
